Turtle Lake - Mercer School

Turtle Lake - Mercer School is a state‑accredited PreK–12 public school serving the Turtle Lake and Mercer communities with a strong tradition of academic excellence, student involvement, and community pride. Located in Turtle Lake, the school provides a supportive, close‑knit learning environment where students benefit from small class sizes, individualized attention, and a dedicated staff committed to student success.

With an enrollment of approximately 180 students, Turtle Lake–Mercer offers a full range of curricular and extracurricular opportunities, including a highly regarded FFA program, competitive athletics as part of the Central McLean co‑op, and a variety of clubs and activities that encourage leadership, teamwork, and personal growth. The district has a long history, its first graduating class dates back to 1918, and continues to evolve with modern facilities, including a 2014 elementary addition and a PreK program established in 2019.
